Premier League Preview 2011

Sporting Index traders have installed Manchester United as favourites in their Premier League points spread market. Sir Alex Ferguson\'s side have a spread of 80-81.5 and buyers might be interested to learn that they finished on 80 points in 2010/11. The Red Devils have been busy in the transfer window and spread bettors will be keeping an eye on David De Gea\'s start in goal.

Chelsea are second favourites and are available at 78-79.5 after they picked up 71 points last year. The Blues\' football spread betting supporters will have been rocked by the news of Michael Essien\'s knee injury which will rule the midfielder out for six months. Elsewhere, Arsenal have faced ongoing transfer speculation surrounding Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabergas with buyers of Arsenal\'s points spread at 72.5 waiting to see the outcome before having a bet. New signing Gervinho grabbed a brace on his first outing for the club and that will have given spread sellers of their points at 71 something to ponder.

Any spread buyer of Liverpool\'s points at 69-70.5 will be hoping for a better start than last year under Roy Hodgson. The Reds improved dramatically when Kenny Dalglish took over as manager and spread buyers will be looking for the side to continue in a similar fashion. Dalglish has added the services of Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson and that may cause sellers of the club\'s points to worry a little.

After Manchester City claimed the final Champions League place, spread buyers of their points at 76 will be expecting Roberto Mancini\'s side to push on again this year. Carlos Tevez, who finished as joint-top scorer in the league, is intent on leaving the club and that\'ll be well-received by those looking to sell their points at 74.5.

Tottenham secured a Europa League spot after finishing four points above Liverpool and anyone buying Spurs\' points spread at 61.5-63 will be desperate for the club to hold onto Luka Modric. The Croatian has become an invaluable asset and sellers of their points spread would be delighted to see the midfielder leave White Hart Lane.

David Moyes\' outfit finished only four points behind their City rivals and outside of Europe, but buyers of their points spread at 53.5-55 will be expecting that not having to balance both next season will be of benefit. Money is once again tight at Goodison Park and given that there have not been any significant signings, spread sellers of their points at 53.5 will argue that the campaign is going to be a tough one for such a small squad.

At the other end of the table the three newly-promoted sides will be the hot-topic. West Ham finished bottom with 33 points in the previous campaign and spread punters selling any of the newly-promoted side\'s points totals will be hoping for a similar sum come the end of the May.
